Peanut Butter-Chocolate Banana Cream Pie

If there is anything that goes together better than chocolate and peanut butter, I haven’t heard about it yet. So in my search for new and interesting foods, I came across someone who had the idea of adding peanut butter and chocolate to a banana pie. I knew that this would have to be tried.

Since I am more of a photographer than a chef or baker, I had to start off with a premade pie crust. I know that for most people, crusts are easy to make, but somehow this simple task has continued to elude me. Thankfully, the rest was easy. Mix some pudding together with cool whip, add in some chocolate and peanut butter, and top off with some extra cool whip.

To make it look extra pretty I added some chocolate shavings to the top, but honestly this was just for the pictures.

I’ve seen some other recipes that use chopped nuts on top, and that could be quite interesting, so I recommend experimenting a bit with different things to find that perfect combination.

Once cooled, the chocolate firmed up a little harder than I had expected, but this was still a very good pie. It is rich, so be warned that you’ll feel the pounds piling on with each bite that you take.
