My better half actually found this recipe for me when she was searching around Pinterest and thought that it would be worth trying. Turns out they are super yummy and impossible to eat just one. You can always add nuts or peanut butter chips to make this recipe pop just a little more.
Take note that this batter is very, very thick and you’ll probably end up using your hands to spread it out evenly. It will seem thin in the pan but puffs up quite nicely and the edges turn golden brown when cooked. Give this one a try soon and you’ll never go back to making chocolate chip cookie bars any other way.
Lazy chocolate chip bars

- 2 eggs beaten
- 5 tbsp salted butter melted
- 1 12 oz bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350F degrees.
Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
In your mixing bowl, combine dry cake mix with melted butter and beaten eggs.
Stir in bag of chocolate chips.
Spread batter into greased baking dish. Once it is evenly spread out, put in the oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes.
