Cow patty cookies

Last month I wrote about the no bake peanut butter cookies known as preacher cookies and this is a spin-off of that recipe. When I was young my “almost” grandmother made batches of both recipes on a regular basis. I call her my “almost” grandmother because our families had been very close long before I was born. I was about 10 years old before I found out that we weren’t actually family.

These no bake cookies take all of a few minutes to make and are absolutely delicious. They are called all sorts of things, but I’ve always heard them called cow patties for obvious reasons. I’m guessing that the correct name would be no bake peanut butter chocolate cookies, but how fun is that?

Depending on how big you make the “drops” this recipe will make about 3 dozen cookies, although I never get that many as I like mine pretty big. They’ll keep for a few days in a closed container, no refrigeration needed.
